Sand Creek Ranch

We have a small Cattle/Horse Operation where we run about 50 head of mother cows and have horses in training ranging from colts to older geldings. Our family consists of myself, my wife, 2 daughters, 3 sons, son in laws, daughter in law, and 3 grandchildren this far.



Some of my earliest memories I can recall have always had horses in them. I guess you could say I have had a love for horses since I could walk. As a young boy, we could not afford to have quality trained horses, but it turns out that this was a blessing in disguise as it motivated me to develop a list of expectations and qualities that I wanted and expected out of a good horse. Armed with a list, I started my journey to learn to train horses with these qualities/expectations in mind. Over the years I have been able to share what I have learned with my family. Together we have spent a lifetime finding the right horses with the right minds to train and spend quality time on. We feel very blessed because we have been able to take this journey as a family, where along the way we have developed good relationships and friendships with our clients.



It is important to us to spend quality time on our horses, whether it's in the mountains, working cows or pleasure riding so we can be transparent, honest, and represent each individual horse for who they truly are. We believe this helps set us apart from others. Understanding not all horses are created equal, meaning they all have strengths and weaknesses that vary from each other, we focus on helping each horse we train be the best they can be by turning their individual weaknesses into strengths. Winston Churchill's statement, “There is nothing as good for the inside of a man as the outside of a horse” is without a doubt one of the truest phrases ever uttered! We love working with good horses, good people and look forward to helping you find the horse of your dreams.
