Deacon is a dream at neck reining!
He's very supple and in tune with his rider so you only have to gently lay a rein on his neck and he moves that direction with ease!
I've been around this horse since his owners purchased him from his breeders as a Weanling.
Deacon is very obedient on the ground and in the saddle, he's been taught by his owners to respect your space also!
I've watched him pull a tarp for the first time that was about 40ft long and not hesitate!
I've seen his owner use a bull whip while on him for the first time and he just stood there!
You would think he's a dead head with his actions but he's not, he's level headed and has bonded with his trainer!
Deacon is just that type of horse who once he bonds with you he'll give you all he's got and then some!
I've been fortunate enough to watch his journey since this Amish family are good friends of ours and excellent with their horses.
I even have ridden Deacon so I am writing this first hand!
Deacon is traffic safe, rides with dogs, does well in a group ride or out alone!
He'll go through deep water, mud, over logs and steep terrain!
He stands for shoeing, bathing, mounting, stands in cross ties, leads and loads in the trailer!
Deacon is up to date on his worming, feet, coggins and health certificate.
I think about anyone can ride him as long as they understand neck reining or come from a Quarter Horse and are confident since he is a 5 year old and needs consistent riding still.
Come take Deacon a ride and you'll see how smooth gaited and smart this boy is!
His Rocky Mountain papers are in the pics below.
He'd up to date on his worming, teeth, feet, coggins and health certificate.
